    The highs and the lows

    The private pool in the villa was excellent , while the breakfast offered a generous spread that pleased everyone.

    The food quality could definitely use improvement. Many dishes lacked flavor and consistency.

    Overall the property is very well located near the beach with great views. Excepting for Mr Shibu Varghees who I would classify as a "bad apple" the staff are actually very nice, helpful and polite. The food is very good with good variety and emphasis on hygiene. The Ayurvedic spa is excellent and a must for anyone who visits this resort.

    The front office manager Mr. Shibu Varghees is very unprofessional and rude. He basically was not ready to honour the Booked.net confirmation with regard to price and wanted to charge us 40% extra. Thanks to Booked.net and Jay Vara in particular who explianed him his responsibilities else we would have been cheated. This person would be a nightmare for travellers fron Europe and the us who are used to professionalism and polite mannerisms. I being a British Indian somehow managed to negotiate with him but honestly Western tourists can't be bothered to deal with him. Other than him the rest of the resort staff and facilities are excellent on par with other international resorts.

    The hotel was luxury and relaxing, I truly enjoyed it, especially sea view. The breakfast was satisfactory, had a lot of food. There were a work desk, tea/coffee making equipment, and a flat screen TV in my double room. The staff was attentive plus the location was stunning and magnificent.

    The view of the lake from the hotel was amazing, and the rooms were clean, well-equipped with a mini-bar, electronic key card, and coffee/tea facilities, located close to the airport.

    The room was nicely furnished, neat and included climate control, a private safe and flat-screen television. The breakfast was satisfactory with good choice of goodies. The location was exceptionally nice and ideal in the beach area. We dined at a super nearby restaurant with Indian dishes.

    I had a lovely time enjoying the tranquil beachfront and the relaxing pool during my stay. The spa was a nice touch, perfect for unwinding after a long day. While the dining options could use some improvement, overall, it was a refreshing getaway! 😊

    The food was excellent. The room was outstanding. Ayurvedic Spa was very good. All the staff were delightfully polite, helpful and very cheerful - a pleasure.

    The transport connections were somewhat limited given the location. There were auto rickshaws parked 5 mins away but seemingly no way to contact them - something that could be put right so that guests could have a choice of transport into Pondicherry.

    It was an excellent fit for a transient visit in Pondicherry with good value for price. The staff even provided me with medication when I fell sick, a nice touch. Make sure to ask about the daily buffet options if you're planning on staying for meals.

    The spacious rooms featured clean balconies and a pleasant aesthetic. Dining was enjoyable, especially the udon soups, though the quality of North Indian dishes could be improved. The beachfront area was well-maintained, but access was limited after 6 PM. Unfortunately, the check-in experience felt lacking, as we weren't offered water or a welcome drink.
